KWIC
Many future operations of the WGRC-I/UCRC will take place in the Kansas Wheat Innovation Center (KWIC), which opened its doors in December 2012. The KWIC facility was conceived and predominantly funded by Kansas wheat farmers. The KWIC, located in Manhattan, KS, is a 35,000 square-foot structure, which includes 15,000 square feet of advanced wheat breeding laboratories, a 10,000 square-foot greenhouse complex and 10,000 square feet of office space. The KWIC is located on Kansas State University’s Grain Science and Industry mini-campus, in close proximity to the International Grains Program and research facilities dedicated to milling and bioconversion science. For more information on the KWIC facility please visit the Kansas Wheat Commission website at http://www.kswheat.com.
